CASPER is the third iteration of applied research and clinical service delivery, with the first CASPER Clinic founded at the University of Georgia and the second at the University of Kentucky.

Dr. Jonathan M. CampbellProfessor of Psychology,CASPER Clinic DirectorJonathan M. Campbell is a licensed psychologist, professor, and inaugural director of the PsyD program at Western Carolina University. While serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Georgia, Dr. Campbell started the CASPER clinic in 2004 due to a need for student training in autism assessment and community needs. Continuing the original work of CASPER, the purpose of introducing CASPER to the Western North Carolina community is to continue advanced clinical training opportunities to WCU graduate students while serving the community.
